No I don't think so. Especially if someone else picked it out that does not share your taste maybe it does not feel like 'your' ring.

i think that best describes my feelings. it was 'her' taste. dh feels that since he's a man, he has no clu, so he brought her along. when she said, 'this one!' he said, 'oh, ok. wrap it up.'

It's hard b/c I am sure he had the best intentions asking for her help. I would let him know that even though He gave it to you, that it doesn't feel like yours Hopefully he will understand what you mean

ppl say it's all about how he loves you, not the size, quality or design of the ring....

well i say that's partly true 'cus u're gonna be wearing the ring for the rest of your life! it should reflect your taste! not the taste of someone else! :(

go for it!!!

I don't think you are wrong by not loving your ring. You love your Dh but it was just that you were diapointed in not getting what you wanted. I am sure their are others in your boat and maybe the best thing to do is tell your FH. Erings can be very tricky b/c unless you show or draw the exact ring you want you really don't know what you'll get. I would try to deal with it and maybe if you don't wear it your husband will catch on and ask, then you can honestly tell him what is on your mind. I hope it works out for you!

I think that keeping it and not wearing it is insulting. i would tell him how you geel be sensitive and kind. It is important that he knows NOW. If you don't tell him for years he may feel that you lied to him or that you were uncomfortable talking to him.

He didn't pick this out along and that is an important fact to encorperate in your discussion.

but it's not just the design of the ring - it is the color & clarity of the stone - so exchanging it isn't really the answer, I don't think...you don't want to reset a stone you don't like in teh 1st place.

My solution would be to wear it for now....it's too soon to do anything about it & not hurt his pride...

How bout getting a really nice diamond wedding band...one that is too wide to wear your e ring with on the same hand....and say that you'll wear the ring on your right after the wedding. Then don't.

After a few months of being stowed away in the jewelry box, it might be 'hard to find'!
