spin-off of adriana's question -- bachelorette party

have you and FH talked about any 'ground rules' for bachelor/bachelorette parties?? FH brought this up, randomly, during a car ride last week.

I told him i trusted him and i didnt care where he went. if he wants to give dollar bills to girls dancing, go ahead. just dont make it a habit or do it after we are married. i know he doesnt like those places anyway, so i am really not worried.

and then he turned the tables and asked me if i was going to go to one, or if the BMs would hire a guy? i was like IDK. honestly, i never thought about it. i know i dont want to be embarrassed (i.e., called to a stage or a guy coming to the house), but idk.

the convo just ended with, we have time....

so--have you guys talked about this? any ground rules in place??

We haven't discussed this yet, but I don't think either of us will have anything major to say. We both know where the invisible line is drawn and what our boundaries are. We also both know not to do anything too stupid. Neither one of us ever get crazy drunk that we won't know what we're doing, and we both have enough respect for each other that we don't really need to worry.

I'm ok with FH going to a strip club. I HIGHLY doubt it will be a reg thing for him and he's actually never been to one.
(i'm also ok with it cuz i'm having 2 of my guy friends go with him since they are friends so i'll have spies lol. And F that guy code crap lol... that doesn't count when i've known one of them since kindergarden lol)

I TOTALLY DON'T want strippers, penis necklace/straws or things like that. My ideal Bach party... lol

Lazer Tag during the day with my girls
Dinner
and going out to a club in the city.

(yes... i'm 10 years old apparently)

So FH has nothing to worry about lol

this has been an issue for quite some time... FH has never been to a strip club, never really cared about it and now he keeps insisting that his first time will be at his bachelor party.

i told him thats disrespectful to do that to me at a bachelor party. honestly if you never cared about strip clubs in the first place why are you going to do it? it really makes my blood boil! i know its not really a big deal but a bachelor party is directly related to your MARRIAGe not about gettin it on whit someone who's not your wife to be.

i personally will either go to miami and party or do a spa/beach day. no nasty strippers!

We have talked about it...And neither of us want our parties to have anything to do with strippers...Its not that we dont trust each other, bc if he wanted to go I'd hand him some singles...neither of us are into that, just not our thing.
I want to go to 80's prom and spend a night in the city for mine and I think he wants to go to AC for the weekend...We are both fine with whatever the other chooses

I think you handled this conversation beautifully. I feel like men NEED to hear that your confident and trusting. They know its a tricky topic and dont want to end up in the dog house. It is in all good fun. I have said this before, men go to strip clubs, for bachelor parties to embaress the bachelor not for anything else. As long as your man does not make this his regular routine, its all good fun. On the flip side, this does not mean I want to hear details about this trip lol.

I would LOVE to do the 80's prom! I love anything to do with the 80's! This would also be great b/c my two MOH's (older sisters) both actually had their proms in the 80's and I think they'd love it too!

Fh already said that all he wants to do is go to a Mets game and a good dinner. Strippers are absolutely not his thing, and so he's not going to have them.

My BMs and I are going to New Orleans. Not for Mardi Gras...I'm a dork and there is this literary convention there that I went to one year and loved, so we're going to go back there. Both FH and I wanted our parties to be reflective of who we are.

Listen...I'm not going to lie...I HATE the idea of some nasty woman with her boobs in FH face (sorry if there are any strippers reading this LOL)

But I'm not going to be 'that girl' that has a sh*t fit about it...if that is what is going to happen so be it...I'm sure the stripper isn't looking for anything but money so I don't feel threatened

I do not want a stripper at min...but I'm a big fan of penis straws LOL

no ground rules... hes going to do the stripper thing and i really don't care

Re: spin-off of adriana's question -- bachelorette party

i would prefer not to have them at all. i dont want one, dont really see the need. its not my 'last night out of being single'...i gave that up when i became exclusive with FH. and a night out with the girls can happen anytime..dont need to be married to use it as an excuse. we might just do a joint one and then we'll be together so no rules necessary

Re: spin-off of adriana's question -- bachelorette party

Fh is not into strippers or anything like that BUT his a$$hole friend are hardcore all about it. It makes me so mad bc theyre all 25, 26, 27ish years old and very immature. Fh doesnt want stripper but i know its not up to him and I know his friends are very wild and drink to oblivian and it makes me nervous what theyre going to do to him. My brother will be there so i hope he would attempt to control the situation.

heres an example of what happens when im not there. I was in San Diego visiting a friend who just had a baby last weekend. And i get a call at 4am sat. from FH telling me that hes wasted and his friend took his glasses off his face and he went to get them back and they were play fighting and then he got thrown through a wall. Yeah well i came home sunday to him with a black eye and 3 huge contusions on his head. he looks like an idiot and its just pathetic. i know he didnt throw himself through a wall but his a$$hole friend this is very normal for them.

UGhhhh

we havent really discussed it but i know his friends will get him strippers. to be honest i dont really care bc i trust him and its all in good fun. plus the last few bachelor parties he has been to the groom basically gets like hit and stuff by the stripper so its not really fun for the groom as much as for his friends..
