We just got Pergo...I love the look of them but they are not fun to keep clean I swift them everyday and that is fine the problem I am having is the streaks that are left when I clean them. I have been using the Pergo cleaner (that we were told to use) and it leaves streak marks I dont know what to do or what to use. I cleaned my floors on my hand and knees for almost 2 hours and they still came out streaky. PLEASe HELP...what else can I do or use

Re: Spin-off of Pergo Floors
I have heard that white vinager works great for hardwood floors, but I am not sure how it would work for pergo. maybe you could try it in a small corner.

Re: Spin-off of Pergo Floors
I think pergo's site recomends vinegar and water or just plain water. Sometimes I get streaks and sometimes I do - the wetter I make it the more streaks I get. I also have the special mop thing that is fine for hardwood/laminate floors and that works well.

Definitely get the special mop - it's just a large square with a cloth on it. I use that with the vinegar/water solution in a spray bottle. Sometimes I get streaks too. I also bought the Hoover floormate. It's great! I only use that once a month though...because it uses a little more water than I'd like and I get nervous with the pergo.

I wil lhave to look at home....it is those mops they sell in the supermakret in drug stores that have the cleanser bottle you attach to it...at least that is what I have - I just can't think of the brand.

Re: Spin-off of Pergo Floors
Pledge came out w/vinegar wipes fro HW floors. It's like the swiffer but w/vinegar. My mother uses it on her floors and comes out great. BTW thanks for your help w/the Pergo from my prior post. I think I'll have it installed FH is sooo not handy.

Re: Spin-off of Pergo Floors
With these Pledge wipes, is there any residue on the floors afterwards?
And does it come like the Swifter set?

Re: Spin-off of Pergo Floors
There's no residue.
They are smaller than the swiffer wipes. Come's like the swiffer set.
