Spin off to best thing about owning a home..what are the bad things ? I can list a few- come on in for a rant and add your own

I know I should not be complaining- because I am blessed to be able to afford a house, but let me tell you girls something- it aint so great.

From losing heat to tree branches ruining my fence, to not affording to go out or go on vacation to struggling paycheck to paycheck to your house not looking the way you want it to look to visitors- its a huge money pit that i was not prepared for.

between all the day to day cleaning, laundry, bills, bugs, messes, visitors, neighbors, landscaping (or lack of it), leaves, etc....
yes its great to have my own place...but sometimes, I wish I had a condo or something more manageable.

I think you forgot to mention the roof leaking when it rained and now spending thousands and thousands to get it repaired..

I agree with everything you said I just keep thinking it is going to get better soon.

I hear ya. I am very happy overall and proud that we were able to buy our house but I hate that feeling that there is always something to do LOL. Especially since we are redoing literally every square inch of our home

It will be years before I have a house full of furniture.

Our living room right now only has a rug

We enjoy it though.

I enjoy doing things around my house. I am so proud of it. I can't believe it is ours.

I now have a love of gardening! Yes, it is very expensive, I totally agree with you.
Yet, I think the pros definitly outweight the cons.

Agree with the living pay check to pay check...before we were married, we lived together and I was always living paycheck to paycheck, and my DH would always be lending me cash....now we BOTH live paycheck to paycheck....am hoping it get's better soon....or I'm going to need to take a 2nd job!!

I agree. That is why me and dh agreeded to get a condo. Plus, dh hates raking leaves and maintaining things that need repair, so we are better off this way. Less stress on both of us. Oh, and ofcourse less taxes and money to shell, which makes my wallet very happy!
