No way, my MOH has a clover on her shoulder and I asked her to cover it up. She really had no problem with it and in fact was thinking the same thing before I had to say something. She has another on her ankle, but that would not bother me.
It's you pictures and you have to look at them for the rest of your life.

No way!! You can cover them up really good with this stuff called Derma something (they match your skin tone to the T) .. they sell it at Macys for 20 something dollars!

Re: Spin Off To BP & Tatoos: AM I NIT-PICKING IF I asked to cover them up?
yes, I think it is nit-picking.
For a lot of people their tatoos are very much a piece of who they are. In my opinion, it's pretty rude to ask them to cover it up. As long as it's not anything obscene or really truly inappropriate, I think it's pretty demanding to insist that they be covered up.
Gently mentioning it and asking for their thoughts on covering it for the occasion is fine, but it should be their choice, and they shouldn't feel pressured to do so.
(for the record, I don't have any tattoos. I just know people who do)

I think asking them to cover it up, if you have them yourself is pretty hypocrytical. But I don't find it offensive, or nit-picking if you ask them to do so. It's your day. But if tatts were a problem to begin with for your pictures, when you asked your BP you should have said under one condition. You cover your tattoos for the day of. Simple and straight to the point!!

I actaully never thought of this... I guess it would depend on how big it was.
1 of my MOH doesn't have any and the other has 1 huge one but its on her lower back. So I guess I am safe.
Mine is also on my lower back... so unless I am getting dress open up to my a$$ then I am in the clear...
Ok... enough about me...

I do have... but it's on my leg.
I was in a wedding (MOH) and she asked us girls not to have nay crazy colors in our hair.
I didn't think that was a problem..... afterall I know she was concerned with her pics as well.

All my tattoos are in hideable places.. that's why I got them where I did. I would want them covered up on my wedding day.. and if any of my girls had tattooes on them in a noticable place, I would ask them to cover them.. I think it's tacky and gross..

yes, i think its nit-picky and a little controlling. they may take it upon themseoves to cover up the tattoos themselves.

This seems like something that is really important to you so you can def find a nice way to ask them to cover up the tattoo. My advice is to begin by telling them how happy you are they are going to be part of your wedding and that in no way do you want them to be uncomfortable, but would they mind covering the tattoo for the day.
In time there is a good chance they will bring up the idea on their own! You picked your BM because they are special to you...reiterate that and hope for the best!

Wouldn't they have to if they were going on a job interview?
IMO..... whether it's a part of them or not... there is a time and place for it!!!!!!!

eh, not necessarily. It depends on what they do for a living, and where the tattoo is.
There's also a really big difference between covering something up for a job interview because you have to look professional and being asked by somebody who cares about you to cover up something that you feel is representative of who you are. People bullsh#t all the time at job interviews. It's nearly impossible to be truly yourself at a job interview. Your friends and family, however, should love you for who you are and not want you to cover it up. A job interview is about getting people to accept you. You shouldn't have to be faced with that with somebody who already cares about you enough to want you in their bridal party.
Hey, a lot of people might not care. But some people will, and that should be respected.

your wedding is NOT a job interview....I think it takes b@lls to ask someone to cover up anything, that is ridiculous (sp) in my opinion...but hey, it's your wedding and your friends.....do what u will
