Don't you think it's rude when an engaged girl pulls your hand next to hers to compare rings?? I've had 3 people do that!

I'm not bragging, but I have to say that FH did his homework and did good with the 4 C's on my ring. But I've felt badly. I had one girl say 'now I don't like my ring' Isn't that just awful? FH would kill me if I ever said that. The best had to have been my brother's fiance (she's 18, he's 20....for what it's worth) saying right in front of him 'ohhhh, I like hers better! I want a silver band....' I was like it's Platinum, NOT silver!

Geez, I must be thick skinned!

Again, this sort of thing doesn't bother me at all. I think it's human nature to compare what we have to others. What's the big deal?

But then again, no one has done this to me and then said 'Wow, mine is MUCh nicer'. Then I'd probably have a problem with it!

Maybe it's me, but I think it's kind of funny. That's a great feeling, knowing your ring is so incredible that another girl now doesn't like hers. I feel bad for her, of course, but it would be like a huge ego boost to me. And of course the 18 year old who called it silver should be slapped. LOL. (kidding). But I love the attention my ring gets from people. JMO!

I look at all my friends/cousins rings all the time. I grab there hand and examine them. Just because I love them. If I had known it was so insulting to do so, I might not do it.

It's not insulting at all, just uncomfortable for me I guess, plus I think it's disrespectful to their FH. If anyone compared and said 'oh mine is much nicer' I'd have to tell them where to put their nicer ring!

Ciminok, my close friends and I do the same thing and refer to our rings as the 'bling bling'
