Re: spin off to my cookie gift..
this might sound bad but does it have to be from scratch? I buy the betty crocker bags of cookie mix and they came out so good everyone thinks they're homemade. I'm making a bunch of different kinds of those for christmas

Re: spin off to my cookie gift..
my sister has an amazing andes mint cookie recipe, basically all you do is make the dough and wrap it around an andes mint candy and then bake it. They're so yummy, if you're interested in that I can get you the recipe.

Re: spin off to my cookie gift..
my most favorite cookies are the melomakarona my mom makes every year around Christmas time...no they're not the Greek cookies with the powdered sugar (they're my 2nd fav), these are like butter cookies dipped in honey and sprinkled with nuts and cinnamon...I'd love to share the recipe with you all, but i have to first translate it into English (and i've got a lot of work to complete right now), so maybe in a future posting...
