::SPIN OFF: to Wedding Trends. . . .

How about wedding trends you would like to do but can't for one reason or another?



I would like the photo montage - FH and I have been through NINE years of proms, events, vacations etc. and I would love to showcase that.

However it is too expensive to do with my DJ and I didn't as my photog about it bc i assumed it would also be expensive. . .

I am going to try and bargain and get it included but I dont know if I will succeed!!!

its not important enough to me to splurge on it for a lot of money - but it is something I would like!

Is the spotlight dance different than the first dance? FH can't dance... he will be rocking back and forth for our first dance though!

As to what I would LIKE to do... but will forgo...

I wanted to hire a bus to shuttle my guests. Not happening.

I wanted to have a wedding at Lands End... too expensive.

Didn't have an E-party
Won't be having a big RD
Would like to have a Morning After Brunch... not gonna happen
Wanted an album with flush photo pages.. until I realized how much that costs!!

I know there are a lot of other things I will be giving up too... but I WILL NOT be giving up the best thing... MARRYING ROB!!!!!!

our slow dances will be us turning in tiny circles until i feel like puking!

i so have to keep remembering that part - well not that i am marrying rob - that i am marryin Anthony ( just wanted to make that clear so there are no problems )

its hard bc about 5 of my close friends are getting married close to me ( most are on this site!) and i feel like people are going to be like 'omg i can NOT believe Matilde only had ONE ice sculpture- she should be so embarassed!'

i try to keep sight of what its all about but sometimes its hard!

eloping/destination wedding.

only 1 thing stood in my way:

DH insisted on it being here with EVERYONE he knew/knows.

We really wanted Destination wedding also..... But we're going to have a BIG old wedding with family and friends. I'm sure we'll be skimping on some things also....considering my FH wants NYC and they charge anywhere from $150 to $250 per person! UGH!!!!

Sorry, just a little venting.. I'm over it now

i think i am going to pick the fishy its so cute and anthony liked it

and i know you are right - but sometimes i forget that!!!!

If I can squeeze it into my budget, I'm going to make additions to my music..i.e. a string quartet at church, a jazz trio at CH and Frank Sinatra singing at dinner. That is something that both I and my guests will enjoy.

I would have liked a band altogether but FH doesn't like them.

I'm not sure what the photo montage is - is it something that's shown at the reception? Or something like a video montage they make for you with the wedding footage for you to watch later?

its when they take pictures from you guys growing up and then your relationship - set it to music and then play it on these big plasma screens at the reception

sometimes they even will come snap some pics at the ceremony and incorporate that at the end. . . (this part is cool but i really would love the first part)

btw - thanks to all the wonderful, kind hearted girls on here who read this and contacted me about alternate solutions - it made me smile just to see that people cared enough about a stranger to take the time out and inform me of other options
