I was thinking of creating labels to be placed on water bottles as our save the dates. I'm known to always carry around water with me, so for many guests it would provide a laugh. In addition, I figured the guests would not misplace the information (added bonus they could drink the H2O). I'm planning on giving them to guests at my E-party next month.

Re: Spin on the traditional save the date
How will you get them to people? Is it going to be a disposible bottle? If so, do you think they may throw them out?

Re: Spin on the traditional save the date
Are you going to mail them? If you're giving them out at an engagement party, it is a cute idea (although I'd still be worried about people throwing it out before jotting down the date). If not, it's probably not going to work.
ETA: You read my mind. I think it's a great idea to do something personal that is very 'you'

Great questions. They would be passed out at my E-Party next month. I'm thinking of using a Pathmark disposible water bottle. I was concerned with the bottles being thrown out.

Love the idea and soo you!! People will definitely read the label and then the date will stick out in their heads! Doubt they will throw it away before they get home (give them out at the end of the night)! Very YOU!

SO cute! I'm a fan of the non-traditional save the date.

Re: Spin on the traditional save the date
I think it's a great idea but since you're concerned about guests throwing away the bottles you could do a diff non-traditional STD and hand out personalized thank you water bottles at the end of the night as an extra favor. People would appreciate them on the ride home especially after drinking...
For our STDs we're doing a bookmark, i.e. 'You're Booked! Save the date for blah blah blah'...

Re: Spin on the traditional save the date
Its a good idea...but why dont you buy reusable sport water bottles from the dollar store and somehow print on there...like a promotional thing...I don't know how you'd do it though.
Sorry, thought I was helping...lol

Re: Spin on the traditional save the date
Truth be told I'm doing a non-traditional save the date because I'm so sick of the typical magnets. No offense to those that are/have done this. The amount of magnets my FH and I have is insane.
I'm also considering purchasing favor bags & using a heavy stock paper with the following: It's out of the bag! Kathy and Scott are getting married....Although, I still like the water bottles better. No worries Crystal I will be posting pics no matter what I choose .
