the doctor mentioned a new test that they used. as anyone heard of it? which is better? I cant find anything on the baby sites about it.

yes. i didnt know it had initials. or a different name. the doctor mentioned the usual blood test but then there was an intergrated test which is in two parts. and that i had the choice.

Ultra Screen??? its done at 12 weeks and its a sono and blood test but I thought tht was only for downs.
Probably the AFP done at 16 weeks tests for downs, spina bifida and trisomy 18

I did both tests. The ultra screen at 16 weeks is both a blood and sono for downs and trisomy 18. I had my afp test today for the spina bifida.
