what should come first....I don't know if I should settle on a head piece and work the hair around that OR settle on a hairstyle and work the headpiece around that!
I wish I had been more 'girly' growing up! The last time I had my hair professionally done (not including haircuts) was for my PROM, 12 years ago!

Re: Spinoff about hair trials and headpieces?
I ordered my head piece and looked at hair styles at the same time. When I was trying them on, I kind of did my hair the way I thought I'd want it for my wedding just to get an idea.

I ordered my head piece first, then thought about hairstyles.

I think that a good stylist would be able to adjust the style to fit whatever headpiece you decide on. If they've been in the business a long time, I'm sure they have done may different style with different headpieces. I'm lucky that I have mine already, but if you don't I don't think it's a big deal. You may need to schedule another hair trial when you do though, just to make sure it's what you want with the headpiece you decided on.
Sorry I'm rambling this morning, I haven't had my cup of coffee yet...

I wish I was more girly too...I dont know, I think you have to be happy with your hair, if not, no matter how beautiful of a headpeiece you have, you'll be disappointed.

I spoke to someone who said she can't do my hair trial until I had my headpiece. Which I know isn't true but it would be nice to have the 2 done together so I can see it all at once.
And don't worry Jess, I haven't had my hair done since prom either. And I don't even get haircuts, I just ask someone to trim it for me!

Re: Spinoff about hair trials and headpieces?
The only time I ever get my hair done is for a wedding and the last wedding I went to was the begining of last year i jsut go t o get my hair cut and thats that I am not a girly girl at all even though I try to be I guess growing up with all boys didn't help much I think I would do the hair first and then work the hair accessories in I mean if you tell the hairstylist that your goingto have a tiara she should know what to do

I guess you should have an idea of how you want to wear your heair but don't have to have a trial. I won a prize for a 'free' headpiece (up to $250) that expires in December, so I'll have my heapiece probably before I actually have a hair trial.

Well, you can check out different hair styles to narrow it down to what you really like. Then pick a headpiece. I figured I would get my headpiece so I can have it for my trial so I get the full effect. Just in case I don't like it, I have time to get something else. Which I hope does not happen.
