Re: spinoff - apartments
When I was renting in Babylon it was $1550 for a 1 bedroom, 850 square feet and that included our monthly pet fee of $35. It included water and heat. Electric was on our own but it only ran us on average anywhere from $40-$50 each month. (In the summer we had to leave the AC on all day for Darwin)

We own our condo, but we have friends who rent here. I thin they pay $1600 + electricity and cable/phone (heat is included). It's for a 2 bed/1 bath in Ronkonkoma. We have a pool and it is gated from 9pm-6am.

Re: spinoff - apartments
we just got our first place in Glen Cove for 1300. Its a two bedroom apt in a complex. Big living room and bedroom (we even were able to get a king size bed in there and still have room) and smaller 2nd bedroom which will be FH's office. Full bathroom. It has a smaller kitchen and dining area but is the perfect size for the two of us and if we have a few people over. Full fridge and gas oven. New cabinets. Heat and water are included. There is a laundry facility on premises that is cheaper than most laundromats. It is our first place and the area is great. All i ever hear are kids playing or silence. Great first place for us. Good luck!

Re: spinoff - apartments
we currently live in an apartment in my moms house so the rent we pay now isnt a fair rent but the apartment we lived in previously was $1100 for a basement apartment in N. Massapequa. It was 1bdrm but there was another room they considered a dining room but we used it as a computer room/play room for the kids. very large living room ...kitchen, full bath...all utilities included even cable. we only had to pay for a phone
