Spinoff- BBQ favorites

tis the season for BBQ's and there seem to be a few bbq e-parties coming up (hmpena, shorty mcbride, I think marymoom, and my own!)

I was just curious- what are some of your all-time bbq favorites...and what would you like on the menu of a bbq e-party?

i love marinated steak on the grill and corn on the cob

i would love to have an e-party BBQ but I've been engaged for 8 months now. is that to late?

Definitely not too late! Have one!

Potato salad and sauer kraut. I don't like hotdogs, but I love sauer kraut - sometimes I put it on a bun with mustard (hold the hotdog) and it's delicious! Ok now you all think I'm a huge weirdo

Ribs and chicken (on the bone and off). I make a mean BBQ sauce . I can get FI to do anything if I just mix him up a batch of sauce...

the old time cheeseburgers and hotdogs. But my FBIL marrinates skirt stak in something and that is so yummy

I can't wait for his mothers day BBQ.

this is where I go off my diet

Definetely the cheeseburgers!!! Just can't get enough of them!!

...and hello everyone seems to be forgetting about BOOZE!!!!! (I'm not an alci (sp?)...I swear!!)

Can I have your recipe....for a favor, I wanted to give out little jars of it and making up some witty saying like

sweet and spicy
Leo & Jessica's
BBQ family get together

or

Kickin it
with Leo & Jessica

it may be a little corny, but hey...I'm a bride..I'm allowed!

change the name to Family Get together if you feel it's too late for an e-party...

mine isn't really an e-party anyway....

and if you want to talk about late....we've been dating for OVER 10 YEARS and our families have never really gotten together!!

THAT'S LATE!!

Hello??? You're all forgetting about the best part....dessert, of course!!! Have to toast some marshmallows!!

You know, between this and the fast food thread I'm getting REALLY hungry!!!

Corn on the cob with a good steak-yumm!

ditto!!!!

Mom makes a killer seafood thingy and Dad grills the pot - it's mussels and clams in a white wine/garlic sauce.

We're going to have lobster too

and we're looking into hiring The Margarita Man - he sets up a tiki hut thingy and serves all kinds of frozen drinks!!!

definately Cheeseburger, turkey burger & grilled BBQ chicken!!

I am getting so hungry!
