SPINOFF BTDT AND PREGGOS YOUR HUBBY'S REACTION

As I was looking at Mishy's sonogram and I remember seeing Dani's last week, I was just wondering, what was the moment like for you and your husband when you both first saw your little peanut or jellybean or whatever you call it. It must be so special. Did anyone's hubby cry?? Did you cry??? Please share here with us. I am looking forward to that moment when Roger and I see the baby for the first time, when my time comes.

Shamma, it is definitely an emotional moment. We didn't cry, but we did squeeze each other's hands and just felt kind of awestruck when we saw our little miracle on the screen - we felt so blessed. I remember we were driving home from the dr.'s office and just talking about how amazing the whole thing is...I think awed and blessed really described how we felt - and of course excited!!

DH saw his first sonogram last Thursday (I had seen a couple before him) and he did not cry, but he was fascinated! I think his seeing the baby made him feel a little more involved in the process; he's been sorta giddy since last week.

It was emotional, but more of a relieved moment for us to actually see that there was something inside of me growing and was healthy. The second sonogram for us was the doosy... I cried after hearing it was a girl, my husbad was like a little kid in a candy store seeing her whole profile on the screen. It was much more real for us then. I often look at the sono pics. and find my self getting all teary eyed. I just can't wait

I didn't cry, but probably would have if I wasn't lying on the table with the doctor there!

We just couldn't believe it! Seeing the baby/or sac at that point (!) makes it all so real it's unbelieveable.

DH is pretty quiet so the dr even made a comment to him like 'is that all we're gonna get out of ya today'? But once we left the office we couldn't stop taking about it

The best was our last sono, where the baby looks more like a human and was moving around.....he/she even waved to us with both hands! Too cute

We both got really teary eyed and emotional, and John had to take his jacket off because he was getting light-headed

The emotion plus the overwhelming thought of the childbirth ahead....

I felt awe and almost disbelief that there was actually a PERSON inside me. Until that moment, it really never felt real.
DH didn't cry, but he squeezed my hand and managed to utter a 'wow'

We both got teary eyed. The next day my hubby snuck the sonogram pic to school to show all his HS students lol! He put it in a picture frame too!

I went in for what I thought was a general check-up and found out I was pregnant, much to my surprise. So I got to see the little poppy seed then, without hubby (I was 6 weeks along). DH got to see the sono picture and kept asing 'what am I looking at?' He was in utter disbelief!

Our next appointment was at 9 weeks and DH got to come. Neither of us cried, but we just stared at the screen in awe, and the jellybean looking thing started waving it's arms at us!

Seeing the baby at 20 weeks was amazing as well. It was a human form, unlike the poppy seed and jellybean we had seen before!

We didn't cry, but we both became very overjoyed. My husband became so overjoyed that he nearly passed out. He blames it on the heat in the room.

We also just spoke of it on the way home as just such an amazing moment and a relief at the same time to see the little heartbeat. My husband and I fought over the sonogram pictures to show them to our friends at work...I think we divided them up.

I am not sure that I ever shared this - the first time we ever saw our little guy was after a week of me spotting on and off. The night before the u/s (about 8 weeks, I think) I was bleeding very heavily. I woke up that morning and was practically hemorraghing. I crawled back into bed and woke my DH crying that I was surely having a miscarriage. He held me and later that day we reluctantly went for the u/s, sure that we wouldn't see anything. Well, when we saw that little sac on the screen and the fluttering heartbeat we were so shocked. My DH turned to me with this wide eyed look and we just squeezed hands so tightly. Granted, there was also a blood clot in my uterus, bigger than the little guy even was, but he was still in there- hanging on. I did cry at one of the later u/s when we could so clearly see his face and he just looked like a real little boy for the first time.

I can't wait to meet him already. This tour down memory lane is pushing my emotions over the edge here
