Spinoff: Cookware - What do you use?

OK, so far I registered for a 10-pc cookware set:
8' fry pan
10' fry pan
8-qt stock pot
2-qt sauce pan
3-qt chef's pan
* all with lids

What other pieces of cookware do you use in your kitchen? Things you cannot live without? Is there anything else I should think about having?

Thanks!

I use a very deep frying pan, with a clear lid, it is about 4 inches deep.

you may want to get another stock pot - a big one like 12 qt (in case you ever want to boil lobsters!). also, a griddle pan for pancakes (yum!).

I have an All Clad Set. We use all pieces.

I picked up a tiny All Clad frying pan - one that is perfect for making omelettes. It was the only additional item we really needed. Its great!

In addition to what you listed already

* Wok sytle non stick pan
* omlette pan
* Griddle
* another mid size pot - We usually one for sauce and one for pasta.
* small roaster with cover - We use disposable for big birds etc.
* pizza stone
Thats about it.

thats what I meant that I don't use much....omlette pan...not the 8'...

DH so wants a wok...but I could care les...since that is not my favorite food...

I have a roaster...but its still in the box...I just don't really like meat...so I haven't used it (poor hubby) I keep thinking I should return it...but then think I may need it once...but then there are always the disposables...hmmmm

I also have
12qt Stock Pot
11' Square Grill Pan (with the lines for grilling meats)

I think I need a 12' deep fry pan and a griddle pan. I have to think about the wok, not sure if I'll use it.

thank you for all your advice!

Erica, the second you get rid of that roaster you're going to need it.

I had 3 or 4 occasions where I WISHED I had a roaster and I didn't, so I finally bought one. I haven't needed one since ~ it's STILL in the box.

Murphy's Law...

LOL, my FH says we shouldn't get a deep fryer because we'll blow up like balloons (he's a pretty big guy already!) LOL.
