spinoff diet thread ... negative calories!

hey anyone ever heard of the negative calorie theory?

there are certain foods, mainly fruits and veggies that contain fewer calories then it would take to digest them (depending on the speed of your metabolism) soooo in theory, you can eat all you want and loose weight!

there is no SOLID evidence to back this, but it makes sense (in theory)

here is a list of negative calorie foods - stock up and loose weight! let the snacking begin!

asparagus
beets
broccoli
cabbage
carrots
cauliflower
celery
peppers
cucumber
garlic
green beans
zucchini
apples
cranberries
grapefruit
lemons
mangos
oranges
pinapples
raspberries
strawberries
tangerines
lettuce
onions
papaya
spinich
turnips

also, I forgot to Add - this is only good when the foods are either uncooked or without adding things aka salt, oils, butter etc.

for things like turnips etc. you would have to cook them somewhat to eat them, but boiling is prob the best option!

natural sugars which are easily metabolised, not like sucrose, fructose etc. that makes a huge difference. the sugars in fruit and candy are much different!
