I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. A loving family comes in all varieties as far as I'm concerned.

One of my friends from school is raising her son with her partner, and they are one of the best parents I have ever met! There are plenty of straight parents that scare me!

a very good friend of mine Gina, her dad passed away when she was 14. So it was just her and her mom. She had a teacher Ed Murphy who is gay.

When she lost her dad he became like a father to her. She went on vacations with him and his significant other, she spent weekends at their home, spent the holidays with him, etc..

I met him and his significant other Richard and though Ed wasnt her biological father he treated her like a daughter.

Ed and Richard are the most wonderful and loving people I have ever met. They treated not only Gina like a daughter but even her friends.

I think if 2 people have love and they want to share their love I see absolutly nothing wrong with it.

It makes no difference to me. Even the most straight parents can serverly corrupt a child. I have found gay couples the nicest people I have ever met.

Allure everyone, or should i say most people, have a mind of their own, my cousin did but I am unsure if she grew up seeing it and became it, or what, are you 'born' to be gay? I have no idea.

I never questioned her prefernce. I love her the way she is.

I think any two people who love a child can make good parents regardless of their sexual orientation. A child is far better off with parents of the same sex who set an example by being loving and caring with one another, than with heterosexual parents who argue constantly. Of course the reverse is also true. Sexual orientation does not a good or bad parent make.

My uncle is gay and is the best. His partner and him were together 15 years. I think they broke up because of extenuating circumstances. Although his partner was married and had 2 kids before they were together.

I think Rosie said it the best, 'the diference between mommy and other people is mommy loves differently'

This is what goes on in the bedroom, not in front of everyone.

I think it's totally ok. A lot of the awful stuff that can happen is due to people outside of the family who will judge the family and maybe shun the child. I don't think anything harmful comes from gay parents, any more than from straight parents.

Jenn, from everything I have heard and read being gay is not something that is a learned behavior. Homosexuality is generally an orientation that you are born with. That is why even if a child has never been exposed to someone who is gay in their life, they can still be gay.

I think a child deserves to have two parents who care, it doesn't matter what the orientation. My dad knew a gay white couple who adopted a black baby and everyone thought this was weird, I thought it was wonderful. The child was born to an addict mom and now he has a chance at a better life because of two gay guys. Good for him!!

We actually had to do a bio project on the 'gay gene' I forget the actual name of it (something like Q something), but there is a homosexuality gene that they have identified that is carried by the mother. It has been shown to pass onto male children who have a higher chance of becoming gay, but has not been proven to make a female child gay. The female child will carry the gene like the male child would, but she can pass it to her child.

I think as long as two people can provide a loving nuturing environment, they can be parents. For that matter, it can be one person, as long as they provide a loving nuturing environment.
