Spinoff from OCD question

Do you feel that the obsessive/compulsive behavior you listed in the other thread interupts your life?

Re: Spinoff from OCD question

I have relaxed from ironing constantly (for work or nice occasions, not for Saturday errands) but ironing did hold me back for a while. I was never able to run and go and do things, I was always staring at my closet wondering what to wear and then standing in front of a hot iron getting it ready

Kim - lol

Some of the things I do are so automatic I dont realize I am doing them. Other things like my couting occurs while I am doing something else (walking or riding on the train) that it just occupies my mind.

Christine, this will make you feel more normal...

When I was about 13 I had a friend Kristen McNaley, imagine someone knows her? Anyway, she used to have this OCD where if we were walking down the block and her left hand would hit a tree by mistake, she would run back to the tree and touch it with her right hand. Then if she took like a double step with her right foot, she would hop on her left foot till she had equal steps on both feet. I am cracking up right now picturing her do this. even if she shook her head she would have to shake it untill it was even. Could never be an odd number of shakes.

NOW THAT IS NUTS!

That's really funny. I am picturing some girl hopping on one foot shaking her head back and forth...LOL
