know someone on Long Island that is really good with curly hair.????

Ok...Here's a copy of a previous post I made to a similar question...

My suggestion is to travel to the city. I don't think anyone on LI really knows how to properly cut and style curly hair. I recently started going to someone on LI after going to the city for 4 years and am regretting it. I'm heading back. It's worth the expense and time traveling. If you're interested below are two Salons in the city who specialize in curly hair and are fabulous.

My first choice: Christos Fifth Avenue

My second choice: Quidad

Christy at Razing Hair in Bayport. I have curly hair and she cuts mine. She has curly hair also, so she knows how to work with it. 631.472.8228 she books up very fast, but IMO she's worth the wait

Thank you!! I think I will try her before I go to the City. I just can't afford to go all the way to the City and pay for haircuts!

i have in between hair - now that its long and heavy its wavy but when i had it short it was curly.

I use Lisa at Salon Blue now - they are fabulous - their also doing my wedding!! They are in Mineola - 190 Jericho Tpke.
