Well, it used to be his was his and mine was ours. He had a Jeep that is a stick (hence the his - I can't drive stick). I have a Jeep Cherokee so that became ours. He also has a new car for work (I try not to drive that - it is is work car and he puts enough miles on it. So I would say it is his car - but he says it is ours.

Our cars. We switch cars depending on who is going where.

Re: SPINOFF: Is it your's and his car...
Since DH sold his vehicle before we were living together.. and my lease was up before we got hitched.. the two vehicles we bought as a 'couple' are pretty much both ours
We each primarily drive one during the week (purely based on gas mileage and the fact that DH drive 100miles round trip per day.. so he needs the more economical vehicle) but otherwise they are generally both 'ours'

We each had cars before we got married and move to queens, but we chose to keep mine, b/c we didn't need two. So it is hard to think of it as 'ours', but I try!

Re: SPINOFF: Is it your's and his car...
I paid for my car before we got married so it will ALWAYS be MY CAR. DH leases HIS car so once the lease is up then we'll have 'OUR CAR'

Re: SPINOFF: Is it your's and his car...
This is timely because we went car shopping this weekend. My lease is up on June 27 but as the wedding is July 4th I'll be turning it in early.
I think if it as ours. I'm only financing to get a better deal and we will be paying it off at the end of the summer. I'll be driving it more so I guess it's mine but he thinks of it as mine. He didn't even want to test drive them.

For the most part, the car is 'his' and the SUV is 'mine', really just for practicality reasons because I have to kids with me 95% of the time.

He has his and I have mine (he hates my car, hates his also, but feels it's his because he's paying for it)

I voted his - is his and mine - is mine, but reality is they are ours. We drive one anothers when we want/need to, but which each really have our own and we both like our own better.

Re: SPINOFF: Is it your's and his car...
He had a new car and it was expensive i bought a new car- so he/we decided he would sell his new car to save money and we would share my new car and he would take my old car----therefore in essence they are both mine- but we def. share and they are OUR car

Re: SPINOFF: Is it your's and his car...
We're not married yet, but I think it will stay this way for awhile..his car is his car (I can't even drive it...I can't reach the pedals! )
And my car is my car. Before he got his car, he drove mine a lot, and I don't mind him driving it. When we are marrid and have kids, we may get one family car and one commuting car... but I think it'll still be a his/hers kind of thing. FH said 'you know when you get married, this will be OUR car' about my car, which is my BABY..I love my car....and I was like 'NOOOOOOOOOOOO...MY CAR!'

Mine is mine, his is his. I don't know why. It's just that way. Well, ok, I do know why....mine is NEW, so it's MINE, ALL MINE! haha. I wish I was kidding
