We are having a huge dilemma. We do not want kids at the wedding however FH has a few cousins that range from one to nine years old. The problem is that most of them have older sisters/brothers that are 16-18 and we feel like we have to invite them. How do you invite one without inviting the other. And to top it off they are all coming in from Upstate.
Any advise would be great. I am so torn on this issue. If we invite them then we will have about 10 kids and one baby at our wedding, which I don't want. I just think a wedding is NO place for kids.

Re: Spinoff - Kids at the Wedding
My friend's wedding was yesterday and she has a number of younger cousins. They set the age limit at 17. Those that were not yet 17 were not invited, even if they did have siblings that were. It worked out really well, because her 2 of 15 year old cousins babysat for the rest while their parents were at the wedding .

Re: Spinoff - Kids at the Wedding
i'm having the same problem. my BIL has 3 kids (17, 14 and 5). FH and I said no children under 12 which started a fight w/ the BIL and MIL. but we're not budgeing. we are having a 5.5 hour open bar and it is no place for children. if people won't be there for you b/c of a child for 5 hours then they probably won't be there for you anyway
