I have a spiral perm - and I love it - makes my life so much easier.

I haven't had one in 15 years. But I used to love getting them!

I had a perm done last year - it destroyed my hair! I still have an inch of damaged hair still left!
Don't do it, you have boo-ti-ful hair!

Get out - my best friend (MOH) just got one about a month ago. She LOVES it. She's been talking about doing it for years but just did it recently. I'd be afraid to do anything permanent within a year before my wedding though.

The only thing I worry about is my hair falling out.

Seriously, wait until at least after the wedding. My MOH just has her hair straightened at it got burnt through and through and now she's chopping it off, she's really upset about it.

You only have what, 4 months left?? WAIT a little while longer!

You're hair won't fall out unless they don't know what they are doing. I had 2 perms in JR high, but they were bad, just b/c that was the style then.
My aunt just got a perm, so they still do them. hers is a little too tight though.

If its too curly , they can always blow it out for your wedding, like they would for a curly haired person, if needed for whatever style you are going for.

Do you have any pictures of yourself on your computer? That's the first question.

ummmm no. I'm sorry - I'm trying to think of an actress who has curly hair, but spirals, maybe the actress on Felicity? She used to have the long spiral hair, didn't she? Kerri Russell thats it, my hair looks like that.
I can't believe it worked!! I'm shocked,
Anyway, my hair is longer than that though, it goes to my bra strap.

Thats' very curly! I didn't think a spiral perm could that! Do you have layers? I think the overlylayeyerd perms is what made the 80's big hair. And too short makes them old-ladylike. I just thought if it was one length, it wouldn't curl much.

My friend had body wave, with no layers, YEARS ago, and she has very think straight hair
(she's Indian) & it didn't do much. It just kind of looked like she had recently taken it out of braids.

A spiral perm is a good idea though.
