spinoff of kleinfeld's thread - how many dresses can i expect to try on in 75 minutes?
so i was told that my appt would be limited to an hour and 15 minutes, and i was wondering how many dresses i can expect to try on in that time span. i've got SO many pictures of different styles that i like, but i'm not sure how long it takes to get each dress on and off.
thanks!

Thats Strange, when I went - I wasn't rushed at all and they never mentioned there being a time limited, in fact - the woman (Vivian) helping me - said take your time - there is no rush.
Don't know how many dresses, you will have to wait and see....
I bought my dress there and loved there service!

You can try on quite a few in an hour......I would say about 10-15 min per dress---- so at least 4-5---even six if you dont stay in one too long.....and some you will hate right away so they will come right off and save you some time to try on more.....

most places do that. They say that if you try on too many diff dresses it makes it harder to make a final decision. It is there way of getting you to make a decision, without them having to run around get all these diff styles. It will help if when you get there that you have an idea of what you want.

I was there for about 2 - 2.5 hours - it was really busy that day - but my sales person didn't mind...she was very easy going.
I have a question - and it's not at all meant to be rude, just curious...
It sounds like you really aren't happy going there - so why are you? There are many dress shops sweetie - if you feel it isn't the place for you don't force it.

hey jmg,
in response to your question - i think sometimes it's hard to read people's tone on message boards. i think my tone might have come across to some people as unhappy going to kleinfeld's, but that's not really the case. i was a little turned off by the attitude of the receptionist and the way things seem to be so structured (credit cards, 75 minute time limits), but i realize that this may not be the way things are run when i actually get there. and i've heard some really good feeback about the place, so why not give it a chance? that's why i'm going.
and regarding this spinoff thread, i am asking this question cause it's my first time ever trying on dresses and i have no idea how long it takes to get in and out of them. like, if i'm only gonna get to try on 4-5 dresses, then i want to make sure i've got a clear sense of what i want to try on. i haven't got much time for dress shopping cause i work insane hours, and i want to make the absolute most of my time there!!
anyhoo, sorry this message is SOOOO long!

Just an FYI .. trying on dresses in EXHAUSTING ... after about the 5th dress you just want to crash anyway ... as it's your first time, go in, speak to your salesrep about some thins you like - lace, tulle, satine, strapless, halter, etc ... things you liked to see in magazines ... try on some dresses and you'll get a better feel for what to look for next time .. you couls always make another appointment for a more refined search.
I think Kleinfeld's at minimum will be able to point you in the right direction ...

I didn't go to Kleinfelds, but I thin I tried on 7 or 8 dresses in thr last store I went to. Some came right off, but then there were 2 I tried on a few times each, trying to decide between the 2. I think I was there a little over an hour.
We took all the dresses in at once, I think maybe she wnet & got 1 more when she saw what was working & what wasn't.
I think tht can make a big differnce as to how long it takes. I told the saleswoman what I wanted & she grabbed a few & I said yes or know & she put them all in the room. That took about 5 minutes. It might take longer in a big store like Kleinfeld's.

I went to Kleinfeld's and did not feel rushed once I got into the fitting room. I was trying on gowns for more than 75 minutes. I probably tried on about 6 or 7?
