Spinoff of Laura's 'Ed' thread... Anyone feel their DH...

Can be just a little more romantic? Joe can be... sometimes... but I think he could be a lot more.. and more often! He says 'it wouldn't be ME' if he were. Nice excuse! Try again buddy!

I wish Harry would buy my flowers more...even if they are the crappy Penn Station ones!!

Sometimes he goes and does something really romantic and it takes me off guard...maybe thats what he wants because if he was like that ALL the time I would grow to expect it!!

And Joe tries to use that excuse all the time... 'then you'll expect it from me and won't be so surprised'' NOT FAIR! There is middle ground! I swear...
He can be like Raymond Barone... to the TEE sometimes!

I guess this is the plight of women throughout history

John and I just had this conversation...that kissing my neck and wanted to go into sex right away...is NOT romantic...

I agree that when Jeremy is romantic it BLOWS me away big time---- I would rather have that then know that I am getting flowers for every occasion!!!

Shhh don't tell him that!!!!

I always tell Steve I am going to send him to Romance 101 for a refresher course I really can't complain the things he does on a day to days basis more than make up for any romantic notions

Romance 101 - that would be great! I'd have Joe in there faster than he knew it! Michelle - like your hubby, he can be awesome on a day to day basis.. but sometimes I just need a little more!
Erica - soooo TRUE!
I was watching a comedy show last weekend and they did a whole skit about that. How before it used to be all about holding hands, leaning in the 'the kiss,' making out in the car TO I touch your neck or ear and we get it on! No more making out!

If you asked me, I would probably never say FI is a 'romantic guy'.

But he does bring me flowers for no reason, or I get to work and there's an I love you message in my voicemail. So he definitely does do a lot of little things 'just because' that make me smile and feel lucky.

GREAT thread!
I think DH could be a lot more romantic...but then sometimes I think that I am so lucky to have someone that loves me unconditionally, is faithful and honest, that is always there for me....and I think that those things are more important than romance.... and then I wake up

j/k....once in a while he blows me away with a very romantic gesture, but it's rare....
He is such a good husband and friend though that I look past that! (when I can
)

I'm laughing at all of your responses, but in reality I'd like FH to be a little more romantic too. We've been together a little over 2 years and I remember when we first started dating he'd bring me my favorite candy or yummy smelling candles. He'd send me e-cards and leave sweet VM's on my cell while I was at work....sigh! I guess that was part of 'winning' me over. I guess most guys are like that. What I'd really love is for me to come home from work one evening (he gets home about an hour before me) and have the apartment lit by candles and dinner in the making......sigh again! Can I give one of you his # to drop a hint??

December will be seven years together for us, so I guess I'm lucky he's still somewhat romantic!! And I don't feel as though he was all gangbusters romantic when 'he was a-courtin' me' ... LOL!!

Aww - halloweenbride - I didn't mean to exclude anyone. This is for everyone! I totally know what you mean though... when we were first together he did so much of what I loved... sweet little getaways and surprises all the time and I guess it has just worn... What I have done to get it going again is that I made a deal with him (my suggestion of course) that one night a week, either him or I have to plan a nice night for us. Doens't have to cost anything, but we have to do something above and beyond the normal routine to keep it interesting. And it's fun! We alternate weeks.

Yes i wish DH was a little more romantic. When we first started going out he'd write me love letters and send me something every week whether it was flowers, stuffed animal or a card.

Now his idea of romance is to start the laundry for me!!!

Every now and then though he does surprise me.

Seriously - I get some every day stuff like a cute email - I only get flowers or presents when he is in trouble !!!!

I would be floored if I came home to a romantic candel lit dinner - rose petals ect ...

I got my ring while I was getting dressed for dinner in my living room .......
The man has morphed into his father
