Do you have a special code word or safe word to let DH know you're in trouble? I've always told DH that if he ever hears me call him Mikey then there's a problem

I got the idea from Beverly Hills 90210 when Donna was getting attacked by the rapist and David saved her.

Holy cow, that's so funny, because I 'arranged' that with my fiance too. (I knew I saw it on tv, but I didn't remember where...)

We never call each other by our names - it's always 'baby' or 'pumkin-head' or something like that. So I said to him, if I ever call you by your name, that means 'I need you' or 'I'm in trouble' or something like that.

It also works when we're with other people and we want the other to agree. Like, 'No Mom, we can't stay for dinner, we have that thing to go to. Right Melissa?' (Bad example, but you know what I mean.)

We have a sort of code language.

ETA: but I think when you're together for a while that just happens.

So far we've only used it while looking at houses. If the owner or real estate agent is showing us the house and one of us hates it (usuallly me) and wants to get out of there quick we say, 'Oh, by the way hun, how's your back feeling?'. That's code for 'this is a pit/they have got to be kidding me for this price'.

Nothing for safety but that's a good idea.

We do.
FH is a corrections officer and we have a few code phrases that mean either 'walk away from me, I'm uncomfortable about someone/the situation' or 'RUN, there's trouble'. It's a hazard of the job since he could (and probably will) see a once-inmate outside of the jail once they are released.
