I dont know if this is enough of a 'controversy' but I am curious. Is there a major problem in the relationship that you and FH/DH seem to always go back to?
I will start. I have a two.
First, he retires from the NYPD in 20 years and after that I want out of NY but he doesnt want to leave his mommy. That will be a BIG issue in 20 years.
Second, romance... I want candle light kisses and he wants a Fredricks of Hollywood show.

it's not so much a problem...but I love the romantic stuff and he's too easy....he sees a little skin or not even...sometimes it's the messy hair, tee shirt, and sweat pants and he's an animal....SHEESH!
I think right now we have a lack of communication when there IS something wrong...we both clam up when something is bothering us and it's like pulling teeth to get it out!

Here are my two ...
#1 The 'Romance' or even the taking for granted that sometimes Intimacy requires more than asking 'Can we do it now?' - that is revolves around other gestures in our life.
#2 Procrastination - For example, He always starts projects gung-ho and then lets them go for weeks/months at a time.

#1: I'm big into communication, especially when I'm angry with him or upset. He's an excellent communicator about everything EXCEPT when there's an issue with us (ie. I'm upset at him for something, etc). We talked about this, because you have to discuss things...he ignores them and thinks they'll go away. Hopefully, he'll change.

The main and only issue we have is that I want him to stop smoking cigarettes. I KNOW its hard..........
But I dont want him to suffer and die young and leave me all alone (and our children if we have any)
This is the basis of all our arguments.

He spends WAAAAYYY too much time on the friggin' computer. I'm so sick of him with his video games.
And I am the one that wants more action! I've hinted many times but I'm getting tired of asking He says he just doesn't want to be bothered with the romance stuff all the time and he knows that's what I want. So he'd rather go without sometimes than having to put effort into it. Gee, thanks! As you can see, honesty is not one of our problems! But, when he wants to do things right, he reeeeaaaly does a good job (hence, I want more!)
Ok when I started this thread I hoped we all didnt want to go home and beat our spouses!

he doesn't initiate IT. He waits for me to do it, and he KNOWS i HATE to initiate. Its just not comfortable for me... don't know why. so i try to hint around and he just doesn't GET the hints!! so i wish he could just accept i don't like initiating, and just jump me!
and he tends to be messy (ie doesn't put his clothes away after i wash them) and leaves the dishes in the sink for too many days!! (its his ONLY chore in the house)
