I have Yellow with white gold prongs.

I used to have this hang up about White Gold/Platinum. Back in high school we could choose white gold for our class rings and I 'So it looks like sliver but it's more expensive?' I ended up with yellow gold.

I love silver jewelry but I just can't seem to buy silver looking gold (white or plat).

Jim's ring is Platinum with a 1/4 caret Round channel set diamond. (heck I basically bought him an engagement ring of his own!)

Mine is platinum. The jeweler recommends platinum because it is a harder metal and the prongs don't bend easily, making it more difficult to lose the diamond. I wanted platinum over yellow gold - never been a fan of yellow gold and especially with diamonds, IMO it casts a yellow-ish tint on the diamond, even of D color grade.

White gold from Hannoush (the store is up here in Albany) It has 5 diamonds, all the same carat, but the middle one is set so it is larger than the rest. I really do love it because it takes up a majority of the width of my finger without being to big. Total weight, .5 carats I think. But with the setting everyone thinks it is larger

Mine is white gold. I debated between that and platinum, but ultimately chose white gold because if it gets that yellowish cast, all you do is the rhodium dip and it look brand new. The platinum will get scratched up and end up looking like silver, even after polishing because it scratches so easily. The white gold shines better.

Platinum. NOt a fan of yellow gold. The only time I had yellow gold jewelry was in High school. My high school ring.

my e-ring is white gold w/ a platinum setting...wedding band is also white gold
my finger did turn the bottom of my ring a slight yellow gold color but I had the jewler 'rodium plate' it (spelling?) and now it looks good as new... hopefully it will stay this way...
