For those of you doing table names and not #'s.........how are you going to let the guests know where their table is?? I would hate for them to be wandering around the room looking for the name on their placecard.........

I will make placecards for them and all the placecards will be on a table by the cocktail hour room. They put them in alphabetical order by last name so they're easy to find.

But I guess I meant the tables themselves....Will you have a map to show where it is in the room.......or anyother ideas??

What I did was put a number also like a watermark behind the name. Did it in MS Word, it came out nice.

Ok, so you're doing table NAMES and you want people to not have to walk around looking for the tables, right?
Well, at the placecard table you could have a pretty chart/layout posted so people know. But to be honest, I think they'll figure it out just fine.
I went to a wedding where they had table numbers and they were in a slightly strange order so I had to walk around looking for my table - it took 2 seconds, no biggie.

No, we are having a seating chart and when they walk in the room the Maitre ' D or wait staff will be seating everyone.
nice!! May have to borrow this one since we plan on doing towns/cities in Italy... and it may get confusing for some..

i have been to sooo many weddings where the numbered tables were hard to find, because they weren't in order, so i'm not even going to worry!! i don't plan on having that many guests anyway. have you thought about putting a 'map' of the tables by the placecard table?

My favors are my placecards, when you walk into the room they will be on a table I think I have a mock.
Oh I see what you mean, in the room on the table there will either be a 5x7 frame with just the table name or the name on a higher stick (like a placecard sick but bigger)
