We are having an ice cream sundae station at the end. Not quite Viennese but something extra. I do not think Viennese hours are mandatory, although I've always loved them (major sweet tooth) but if it's THAT much extra I don't blame you...I know I have a tiny budget but even under normal circumstances that seems like a lot. Doesn't seem worth it. And unlike other aspects of a wedding I don't think it makes or breaks the night.

We are not, We're only having cake, but I think we're going to have a candy/cookie bar AND we're doing S'mores on the beach for an hour after the wedding so we didn't deem it necessary!

there is just no way for us to afford it. we do have cookie trays on each table and an extra dessert along with cake

My Viennese hour is included in our package. There were a few things FH and I knew we wanted for our wedding and Viennese hour was one (we both love sweets).

I agree that it's a waste of money - I think it's just a show and nobody really eats it, they just want to walk around and look at what's being displayed. On the contrary, I like the idea of giving the guests options. FIL's were set on it, I threw up my hands. The idea grew on me, I like that we're doing more for the guests, but it's still a waste of money.

We opted out because we would rather have everyone dancing the last hour than eating. I also am not a fan of a cart rolling onto the dance floor right when everyone is having such a great time. Plus, our RH includes a dessert (we choose from a few at our tasting), then the wedding cake, and then they are also putting a bunch of pastries on the tables for us so we felt like there were enough desserts. I heard amazing things about the viennese hour at our RH (they have a crepe station mmMmm) but i just would rather have it end on a high note at 12am then let the party continue at the hotel bar!

We aren't doing one bc it's just not worth it to us. I also got upset at my sisters wedding bc they had Viennese and NOBODY ate her wedding cake. NOT ONE person (except for me) and then what's the point of having it?

I love sweets and always wanted a viennese hour, however since my RH is a restaurant they do not offer it because they open for business a hour after the reception ends. That being said our menu gives the option of 4 desserts and we are adding cupcakes instead of a cake as an additional option. I was toying with the idea of a candy, popcorn bar (movie theme) but depends on the budget as i get closer

We wanted to do one, but we are having a daytime wedding and plan to host an after party since the reception is over at 6. We will feed them sweets at the after party :)

We aren't doing one, but our RH is giving ice cream and also cookie trays at each table.

We can do cookies also for an extra $4 a person but I don't think I want that extra expense either.

We're not doing one. By that point in the evening, I want every one to keep on partying as oppose to stop dancing so they can eat chocolate covered strawberries.
