Spinoff to a question I saw on brides helping brides.

I'm just curious, how many of you are having a viennese hour?
Everyone who looks at our venues website sees a picture of it and tells me they can't wait for it. We aren't doing it though because I just can't justify spending an extra $3300 for it.
If you are doing it what made you to decide to? And when you go to a wedding do you expect it?

We have a mini one included and it has a sundae bar which I'm not even crazy about. I was going to have additional sweets and cakes but my hall told me to not go over board because they give SO MUCH. If it didn't include it I wouldn't add it. People are stuffed and drunk by then!

We are not having a Viennese. I originally wanted one but there is just an abundance of food as it is plus guests will get a piece of our wedding cake & get to pick a dessert and we thought that was more than enough.

We were thinking about a Viennese hour, but we don't want to spend that much money when most of the food will be thrown out anyway. We added on pastry platters on each table, a chocolate fountain and a crepe station. It gives our guest some other options besides cake, but it's not an entire Viennese.

The owner of my venue told me at the end of the night they are begging people to take desserts since there is so much extra. She actually told us not to do it.

We're having one only because it's included in our package. I never even though about it because I don't consider it a necessity. If it wasn't included, I wouldn't have done it.
