who is having inner envelopes with their invites?

Nope, it's not worth it for us.

ETA: Everyone is pretty much invited from each household and everyone gets a guest. Just so everyone knows we'll address the outer envelopes to Mr. John Smith & Guest.

I am so that it is obvious who is and who isn't invited to the wedding. Also, we are inviting a lot of people with guests (who we don't know the name of) so we will be writing 'Frank and Guest' which won't be on the outer envelope.

I'm DIY'ing mine with those kits at Michael's. If the kit I like has them, I'll use them. If not, then I won't.

mine dont come with it, and as far as I know its not an option...

I'm using something else... just an insert saying:

Invitation is extended to all those turning 13 in the calendar year 2010, or older... or something like that... ive changed the wording like 20 times

I'm DIY'ing mine with those kits at Michael's. If the kit I like has them, I'll use them. If not, then I won't.

eta: so I voted for 'not sure'

Kris- I was going to do inner envelopes (since I have them left over from STDs) but the Brides kits from Michael's comes with NO envelopes at all! I was pissed when I saw this. I got the damask ones and they expect you to send the invite without an envelope. It folds to look like an envelope and there are stickers to close them, but anyone could just open it up and say hey, I wanna go to this party or the response cards could easily fall out!

Really? The ones I saw were complete with envelopes. Some were more basic packages like these:

and others were larger kits with all the extras like these:

I see what you mean about the damask ones, but you can always seal it somehow, I'm sure.

my drama.
we addressed the outer envelop to fhs aunt and uncle.
we addressed the inner to the aunt uncle and their two children. as should be
they claim that the inner envelope wasnt addressed to the children and that we didnt invite the children. when in fact we did invite them and it was there . so we just had another one made and resent it. but they used that as a reason that they were planning on not coming. I wouldnt have changed the way we did it. theyre dumb
