Naturally if they have a serious SO I would invite them, but what if they are just bringing a random guest to the wedding?

I don't think it is set in stone that you have to invite them with guests if they are single. But if they are dating someone seriously or married than I think they should be invited.

Re: Spinoff to Booking Rehersal Dinner
do you invite just the bridal party? what about people who are doing the readings? I was going to invite my BP with a guest and i figured with my family and the BP and the people doing readings it comes out to 50 people! yikes!

Re: Spinoff to Booking Rehersal Dinner
We're inviting the entire BP and their guests (most are married), our readers, parents, grandparents and siblings. It'll be about 60 ppl...CRAZY!

Re: Spinoff to Booking Rehersal Dinner
I'm inviting immediate family....
*Bridal Party w/ out there dates UNLESS married or have been dating someone for awhile. *FG & RB and there Mom & Dads. *Readers *Singer is invited (since she's a friend) *People who are bringing up gifts during ceremony are invited
I know it might be wrong but I'm not sure about OOT guests...I know, I'm AWFUL but there is so many it would be like a mini wedding and half of them wouldn't arrive until that night anyway.

we're doing the same thing - if told our bridal party (which consists of 21 people) to come with their guests we would have close to 60 people at our Rehersal Dinner and there's no way we're gonna be able to afford that extra expense. If the bridemaid/usher is married then of course I'm telling them to bring their spouse, but that's the only exception

Re: Spinoff to Booking Rehersal Dinner
we only have four girls and four guys so if they are dating someone for a long time, engaged or married then they will be invited with a guest...
if we had a larger party we probably would not be able to do that.

Re: Spinoff to Booking Rehersal Dinner
If your married and in a bridal party, it's etiquette to invite the spouse. It's also etiquette to invite OOT guests IF their in town that night. We're not doing that though, because we have ALOT of OOT guests, and that would be crazy money, since we're paying for the dinner. Traditionally it's the grooms parents who pay, but I won't go there.

Re: Spinoff to Booking Rehersal Dinner
We are our parents and grandparents, wedding party with their signifcant others (if they have one), the readers (with their signifcant others if they have them) two friends who are helping handling my unity candle and programs, oh my aunt and uncle whose daughter is a BM and the parents and rest of the family of my flower girls.
We have about 50-60 people.

Re: Spinoff to Booking Rehersal Dinner
I am inviting mine with guest, they are all from out of town and coming into town with their SOs for the wedding, would be insanely rude to not invite the SOs.

I completely agree, as far as your last sentence I see we are in the same boat. If we asked FH's dad about paying for our RD, he would tell everyone pizza only & no toppings.

Re: Spinoff to Booking Rehersal Dinner
We are also inviting our BP w/ guest only if they have been dating them for awhile. No offense to anyone but I feel that this is a time to be shared w/ close family and friends.
