I am also hoping that I can enjoy the CH and I am definitely still making a grand entrance to the reception. I want it all that day!

See, at my hall, it's weird because depending on the weather, the CH might be in the reception hall. Do you think it will be weird of us to go outside during cleanup of CH and make a 're-entrance'?

Yes, I guess so. I really want to be at the cocktail hour but then again it makes more sense for us to be introduced at the reception.

Of course! We're taking pics before the ceremony so we can be at the cocktail hour - meet and greet the guests so there's less of that during the reception. When the cocktail hour is over, the maitre d' will usher everyone into the ballroom and we and the BP + parents will stay behind. Once everyone is settled in, they'll announce us in. Everyone should be announced into the reception!

I agree, but how about the Carriage House? It might all be done in that same room, but we still want to be announced. I guess at that point we can all go downstairs to the bridal suite and walk up the stairs and be announced?

Yes, that's how you should do it. Don't pass up the one time you'll get to hear someone bellow out 'For the first time as Husband and Wife, Mr. and Mrs....' I can't wait for that!!!

you know- I was thinking that we would ditch CH 10 to 15 mins before it was over- take a couple pics in the empty set up ballroom, then leave- then have everyone come in- then we make our entrance..
I mean, how often in life do you get to make an announced entrance to a ballroom??!!

Eogora and Randella - both good ideas. I def want to be announced as husband and wife. Plus we've been looking forward to entering to the theme song to our favorite Sat. night show...COPS!
