Spinoff to DO timeline

How Early is advance are you girls planning to be ready by?
My ceremony starts at 3:30 so I was planning to be ready 2 hours before....

Also what time are you going for your hair/make-up?

What time is your photographer starting?

My ceremony starts at 6:30. Photographer is starting at 3:00. Not sure what time the hair and makeup people are coming. I should prolly confirm that. LOL

My ceremony starts at 1:30 and my photographer will be starting at 11:30.

hair and makeup starts around 9:30

photographer starting at 1:00

done getting ready at 1:30

pictures at the inn until 2:20

ceremony starts at 3:00

i think its standard to have 2 hours with photog before ceremony starts

I don't have a time for my cermony, but Im hoping for 4pm...
The photographer is coming about 1 to catch my hair and makeup being done... I want to be completely ready about an hour prior... I think two hours would be too long for me and all the kiddies I have in my BP... one should be more then enough for picutres. The girls doing my hair is coming about 9...b/c there is only one of her, and like 10 of us! LOL

no weddings before, but we have to pay per hour to be there (but they provide food and drinks)

but i figured its bigger than a hotel suite and my mom wont worry about redoing our whole house if i were to get ready at home

wow - photog really needs two hours before the wedding? i didn't know that! i was planning on having him come about 1.5 hours before the ceremony actually starts!

ceremony starts at 3- half hour away from hotel where im getting ready

Yes! Its def better- you will have the whole upstairs!! And it will be like taking pictures in your living room! thats awesome! If my church was closer I should have done that!!!

well...my photog said they want the time to take pics of me with my bms...then another one will be at fil house to take pics of fh with the guys...then our alone getting ready shots...some parent shots...plus...my reception ends at 12 and i have a 10 hour day so 2pm they show...4pm church..it worked out perfectly...

that will be fine. We took pics for 2 hours after ceremony so didnt need the 2 hours before the ceremony well not formal type ones at least.

My photographer did come around noon and we left at 2pm, but she left a little bit earlier to get to the church and set up before i got there. Most of the pics she took though were of me while i was getting ready, so you just might want to make sure they are there while you are getting your hair, make up done and while you get dressed to have those pics.

As far as how long before to get ready, it will all depend on how many ppl are getting ready with you and will be using the same hair and make up artists. If takes one hour for hair and one hour for make up. If you have one vendor for hair and a separate vendor for make up then it will go by faster bc while one person gets hair done another will get make up done at the same time. It was only me, my mom and MOH that had hair and make up done by same people at my house. Since it takes 2 hours for hair and make up total time, then it would take about 6 hours for 3 ppl BUT since we had separate vendors and 1 was getting hair and another make up then it took us 3 hours. So thats how you can calculate it. If its 4 girls then it would be 4 hours and so on. If its 1 vendor for both hair and make up then you have to add up 2 hours per girl to get the amount of time it would take.

We started hair and make up at 10am, by 1pm we were all done, i was done even a little before that. AG was there taking pics while we were getting ready, she even had time to take pics of just me. Then close to 1:30pm i started getting dressed so she can take pics of that and then she left to get to the church and cars came to pick us up at 2pm.

Ceremony Starts at 5:30 at hall. Photog is coming at 1:30 for pics of me getting ready. Then FH will come to the house and we'll take pictures before ceremony.

my ceremony starts at 3 - the photographer said he'd be at my mom's house at 1 take pictures till about 5 minutes before we live (church is 3 blocks away) then leave ahead of us for the church to set up to capture my arrival.

That's really all I know as of now.

not really, i mean if you want your photographer to capture pics of you while you put your dress on which alot of brides have then i wouldnt be fully ready before they get there. Plus pics of you putting your shoes on, and all the other stuff such as jewelry, this depends if you want those pics. Also do you want pics of you while you are getting hair or make up done? if so then dont be fully ready. My photographer made sure to come while i was still getting my make up done and before i even started to get dressed

Currently my photog is scheduled to come at 1, and the ceremony starts at 3...I'm wondering if this is enough time though, because we would probably have to leave at 2.20-2.15 to make it to church even early. I want the getting ready pics, and enough time for BP and family pics, but I don't want to run into OT issues either. Should that be enough time?
