Re: Spinoff to engraving-what do you write?
I was just thinking about this today and I think I've got it - 'Yours Always,' our initials, and the wedding date. It's what I always sign my letters and cards to him with.

Re: Spinoff to engraving-what do you write?
You could do a short quote from your wedding song.
FH is getting a plain white gold band. We are definitely getting something in it just not sure what yet.
My parent's did this. My mom is deceased and was buried with her ring but my Dad's says 'Love, Ellen. May 9, 1964' He could never forget his anniversary

His says my name and the date and mine says his initials my initials and the date. We decided to go very simple!

Re: Spinoff to engraving-what do you write?
We are surprising each other! I got to write more in his since his ring is bigger. What I wrote in his was Love & silliness forever, jeanie 7-9-05 (we have this thing about being silly)

Re: Spinoff to engraving-what do you write?
on his i was thinking of writing 'Put me back on!'
but instead i think i've decided on: If found, please return to Allison.
he loves the idea so its probably what i'll end up doing.. i have no idea what he's writing on mine.. i told him he's not allowed to write 'if found please return to mark.' becuase i thought of that and he needs to be creative on his own lol. i'm so mean.

Re: Spinoff to engraving-what do you write?
As for prices at Fortunoff - I just got the quote for hand engraving for both rings: $91 less 10% for bridal discount so $81 for both rings. It starts out as $18.50 for the first 3 letters and for 2.50 each additional letter. The symbols are 3.50 each. If you go with the machine engraved option it is $12 for the first three letters and about 40 cents for each additional letter or number (I think - it might be slightly higher for the additional letters/numbers). They cannot do symbols for machine engraved rings. Also to use Fortunoff's engraving services you have to have purchased your wedding bands from them.

It was a surprise to each other. I wrote 'My love is forever' and he wrote 'Love and cherish you forever.'

Re: Spinoff to engraving-what do you write?
My FH had my e-ring engraved before he proposed; it said 'more' because when ever we say we love each other, the other person says 'More' kinda like ditto from ghost. As far as the wedding bands, I still don't know.
