Spinoff to First job: What you're craziest customer story?

Many of you seemed to work in retail - what are some of your best crazy customer stories?

I worked at waldbaums, and once had an arguement with a woman over the price of wonderbread.

She said it was too expensive - but couldn't understand that waldbaums didn't set the prices - the vendor did

I also had a guy come in a wire like $3000 overseas, and then come in 10 minutes later wanting a refund - but all the money had already been dropped in the safe So he sat their and waited till we had the cash - i thought he was gonna kill me

another crazy story, from fh. He worked in customer service at sears, and a woman threw a phone at him

Well going back to my telemarketing job selling chimney cleaning, I got a guy who said he couldnt take his wife's complaining anymore so he shoved her up the chimney and the neighbors are complaining now because she is screaming in there.

when i worked in modells
there was a guy who got mad at me because the shorts he wanted was not on sale. and he threw them at me ..
welllllll i got out from behind the register followed him to the door and threw them back at him.. i got written up for that lol

One time some lady wanted me to use long addition to add up her bill (I was a cashier in a supermarket) because she didn't think the register added it up correctly.

I worked at a horse farm and I had some crazy horse owners stand over me while I cleaned their horses' stalls. It was very nervewracking.

When I worked at King Kullen... Mrs. Dash was on sale and a woman came to my line with 15 little shakers of Mrs. Dash. The limit on the sale was 4 so when I told her she got all pissy and wanted the manager. The manager finally explained it to her and she was so mad she didn't want them anymore so I had to sit with 15 shakers full of Mrs. Dash by my register until someone came to put them away.

I wanted to say to her, 'What the he*l are you going to do with FIFTEEN shakers of Mrs. Dash?'

I speak fairly sufficient Spanish, and when I worked at FuncoLand, these two guys came in and we did not have what they were looking for, so in Spanish, one guy said to the other, 'Kick her in the stomache and take the money.' Not knowing I spoke Spanish, they were quite surprised when I answered with (in English), 'If you kick me in the stomache and take the money, I WILL fight back.' They were quite embarrassed and left very quickly Stupid customers

It was the one in Levittown. I had stuff thrown at me. Some lady started freaking out that she couldn't use those stupid self check out things. She managed to ring her stuff up and slide her credit card throuh but when it asked her if it was a credit or a debit she freaked. She started screaming at my friend who was so quiet and never stuck up for her self. I walked over (everyone hated working with me or loved it cause I was the one with the big mouth and would go right back at you) and tried to calm the lady down. I said we can't take it out now since you slid your card through all you have to do is tell me if its a credit card or a debit card. Do you sign or put numbers in. She asked for a manager so I called and I left her standing there. Manager comes up with the securtiy manager. The lady complains about my friend and I Just stood there and for a change didn't say anything. WELL she walks over to me and says 'and you!!! You need to learn some manners and while your at it lose some weight you pig' I went after her and my security manager held my arm pleeding with my not to hit her. i started screaming that 1985 called and they want their blue eyeliner and teesed hair back I also screamed that I thought she was teaching her children (who were with her about 13 and 4) the right thing Stupid White Trash B!tch!

I have so many similar stories. People would know the limits, so they'd come back like 5 times to get all that they wanted... For like soda. Soda is on sale every other week! you're not going to run out!

THIS ONE IS GOOD!!!!

This lady came in with underware THONGS She comes to customer service and with no shame says 'I want to return these I wore them and they fell apart' I said No She freaked out I said #1 its against the law # 2 thats is freaking GROSS! Shes like well I rinsed them out. I was like would you want to touch underware that were my butt and she says' if they were rinsed out'

Then she wants a manager. This guy Gerard he was awesome starts cracking up over the phone. He goes well how do you know she wore them did you sniff them. NO AHOLE she told me. So needless to say I told her to go home and call them company and My nickname from then on was sniffer. PEOPLE ARE NUTS!

ok, I worked in Stern's (now Macys) for 7 yrs!
So around x-mas holidays it got CRAZY! So Im ringing and mind you it is 9:05am and the store just opened at 9am and I had a line wrapped around my counter. So some lady asked for a box, for her shirt. I worked in Mens accessories and didnt have any left but glove boxes and I apologized and told her no.
Well, this OLD BAT from the end of the line screams out, 'YOU LIAR' u have boxes, I see them from here! Meanwhile, they were GLOVE BOXES!
She continues on with, 'Shes a liar, she probably got up on the wrong side of the bed. LIAR!' screaming all this!
I was so embarassed the customer just looked at me and said, its ok. I dont need the box...I'll get one upstairs.

I ran off, almost quit and shed a tear! Holidays are not a happy time in the retail stores!
