spinoff to freedom of speech

question:
are forum mails subject to editing/pulling?

i don't think it's possible for even the sender to edit FMs, and I've never heard of an FM being pulled.

It's a nice, PRIVATE, way to voice your opinions and not offend anyone.

No...they are not...as far as I know it's peer to peer info and since it's not 'published' to the general public I don't see how anyone can claim libel or slander.

FM is a great tool!

Re: spinoff to freedom of speech

I think that if a bride reads a negative review she should take it upon herself to check multiple sources and make her own determination on whether to use a vendor or not.

I have heard positive as well as negative feedback on almost all the vendors I am using they helped me to realize that I just had to check the vendor out for myself and determine if they were right for my big day.

Amazon.com has thousands of negative reviews on products right along side the negative reviews on the same products....yet I still make my own decision on whether to buy the product or not.

Is it considered libel if the reviews were worded differently to say the service provided sucked rather than the vendor them self? Would that get pulled?

Where is the original chain on this? I thought it was really interesting and wanted to see the other comments. Did it get pulled?
