Any girls had keratin? I know that labellavita just had it but i'm wondering what the difference is between that and the brazilian/japanese straightening is.
I really want to get one of these done...if i could just figure out which is which!! hahaha

I worked in a salon for a few years...Keratin is much more healthy for your hair! Its like an intense conditioning treatment that takes all of the frizz out of your hair. Japanese straightening actually does damage your hair. What most salons wont tell you is that there is Formaldehyde in it which is horrible for your hair... Go with Keratin!!

The formaldehyde is only in Brazilian straightening.
I've had Japanese done 3 times. I wont do it again because i miss my curls. it hasnt damaged my hair...most people commented after getting it how healthier my hair looked. It is the same as if you bleach/dye/perm your hair. i think bleaching is worse. i dont do anything else to my hair so i figured it's ok. It looks realllllllllly flat for like the first month, but then it gets more full....my hair is SOOO thick so it really was good for me. I dont think it's as bad as the girls on here are saying.
However, when it grows out from the roots it's annoying. im growing it out so it's at that annnoying stage now.

oh and my hair used to be a fro. it still amazes me that i can get out of the shower and do NOTHING to my hair...pin straight! no frizz...even in the rain...not as good now because growing out but for like 8-9 months! crazzzzzy

Thats what happened to my friend.. she has really thick curly hair and now the roots look sooooo Diff from the rest of her hair and she hates it! The rest of her is so flat and straight and the roots are like wavy

yeah..that is the annoying part. im a dumb@ss because i cut off 11 inches to donate and basically all the processed part was cut...it was short and curly/thick..i should have kept it like that, but i got it ONE more time...and now im in that werid stage again...it's not TOO bad, but annoying...
