Spinoff to Mel's NAP at work...

Have you ever fallen dead asleep in a public place, work or school????

It never happened to me but it did to one of my friends in college...our professor MADE everyone leave the class quietly and leave her sleeping until 1/2 hour after the class ended!!!!!!!! The poor thing woke up and everyone was gone! He wouldnt let ANY of us wake her up!!!!!!! It was messed up but FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!

ETA: Corrected as per 'napper's' implied request!

I fell asleep multiple times in Anthropology 101 - although looking aroudn you would see A TON of people falling asleep (the head would slowly slump and then quickly jerk back up when they woke up).

In ES 101 one of the kids (who for some reason would sit in the front row) fell asleep all the time in class - and he would SNORE! The teacher would poke him with his pointer thing to shut him up

I've fallen asleep on the LIRR many, many times. But one time I was out cold and I woke up as the train was pulling into Penn. Everyone was standing in the aisles waiting to get out and that's when I woke up. I guess I startled myself - I don't know - I snorted REALLY loudly.

I passed out cold on the London commuter rail when I lived in London. I only woke up because someone was kind enough to let me know we were at Victoria and the train was going into the depot!

I used to nod off all the time in some of my really boring classes, but never actually fell asleep!!

One of my friends fell asleep in Global Studies in 10th grade, I'll never forget, it was so funny!! He was sitting next to me and when the bell rang I didn't know what to do, I thought the bell would've woken him like it usually did. Finally the teacher came over and shook him!!

Only ONCE in my entire life...on the Express Bus coming home from a very long day (10pm) and the driver never checked to see if anyone was on the bus after the last stop, and I ended up in the Depot when he finally woke me up. But...he did end up driving me back to the neighborhood!

10th grade english - i swore the scarlet letter was the most boring book EVER!

so i feel asleep holding my head in my hand - and the weight of my head on my hand caused my arm to slip off the desk. so my face drops off my hand and SLAMS square on the desk!! making the worst noise that an old metal desk can make - i popped up so quick - but everyone around me was cracking up laughing. the rest of the class spun around to see what the noise was.

thank god my teacher was as boring as the book and had no idea why i slammed the table. i just muttered to her sorry - lost my balance.

Can I just state that I've only taken ONE nap at work?
NAPS implies that I do this regulary!!
