Spinoff to migraines: how many do you get a week?

It seems like a lot of LIW girls get migraines. I have a really bad case of them (some weeks I get 5...usually in a month I get 20+).

I was wondering if anyone has a good doctor? OR something that seems to work?

I am getting xrays of my jaw...believe it or not it might be due to grinding/clamping teeth, which causes a chain reaction of tightness through my head.

Migraines have been my battle for years. Anyone else?

I will get a migraine once every couple of months. . but when I do they tend to last a day or two. I usually just take some excedrin migraine and try to sleep it off.

Getting that many in one week??? Eek, good thing you're going to the doctor for it!

I get really severe migraines about a once a week. I cant even function. I just take my meds and put my head down. they all started about 1.5 yrs ago and stopped for a while. i'd say the last few months its been more regular about once a week

I used to be as bad as you, getting migraines almost every day. Then I finally went to a neurologist and they put me on Topamax to prevent the migraines from occuring. Now i'm down to about 5 per month, and its usually around that time of the month. I would definately recommend going to a neurologist if you are getting that many headaches! My doctor specializes in headaches and is very good if you need someone!
