I wouldn't.

For me, it was crucial that i find a dress that was ONLY mine, never worn by a single other person. My wedding day was really special to me, and the dress is a huge part of that. I went as far as not even wanting a dress that others have even just TRIED ON. It had to be completely mine - worn only by one girl, one bride. That's why I wouldn't buy off the rack either.

If I was strapped for money, and I loved the dress and got 'that' feeling about it, then yes I would have. But I really preferred to buy a brand new dress that only I will wear the first time. I budgeted enough money to do that and I went to a trunk show and saved $$ to get my dress.
