Spinoff to paying for your own ER - Paying for own WR
i really never thought of this until i saw the ER thread, but DH and i paid for our own wedding bands. we went to the jewlery store one day to resize my ring and i was browsing for a wedding band. i asked to see one, it fit perfectly, so i bought it right then and there. i really didn't even think about it, just showed it to DH and whipped out my credit card and paid. i NEVER even thought to ask DH to pay as he was too busy ordering his own wedding ring at the time.
anyone else pay for their own wedding rings?

we paid 'jointly'...although my DH really paid for about 3/4 of it. i NEVER could afford my wedding band, so it kind of works out that with the money sorted out, i paid for his and he paid for mine.

We ordered them together. 3 altogether. Since mine was being custom made and we had to make a few trips to the jeweler we made payments each time we went & paid the balance out of our wedding acct.
I just got a new plain one to wear to work & DH paid for 1/2 when we ordered it and the rest went on our joint credit card which gets pad off each month.

My DH paid for my 2nd wedding ring. The ring I got married in was my grandmother's and was a gift.

DH paid our wedding rings (my e-ring was my grandmother's).

We paid (Well, still actually paying off) for ours together. That's how we treat everything though.

we paid for it out of our wedding account. It didn;t even occur to me to pay for each other's separately.

My FI paid for my E-ring, we haven't bought our wedding rings yet, but I think I am going to pay because he paid for the e-ring, or we'll split it.
