When i went to the post office they measured my envelope with this ruler thing and said its an irregular size envelope ...... it will cost $1.05 to mail it and then a .44 cents stamp for the rsvp.
bt my printer said i only need 1 .61 cent stamp to mail it
so hen i weighed it myself at the post office it says it cost .81 to mail
what the heck do i do ???????????
send a test one ???

Re: SPINOFF TO POSTAGE POST !
Personally, I would go to 3 different post office locations and have them tell you how much it is to mail it. I would go with what the majority says.......this is what I am planning on doing.

Re: SPINOFF TO POSTAGE POST !
My invitation cost $1.05 to mail as well - not b/c it was an irregular shape but b/c it was too thick and so qualified as a 'large envelope'. So I feel your pain.

Re: SPINOFF TO POSTAGE POST !
I went to the post office, asked the lady, she told me 81 cents. I added on the 20 cents she told me to send the (square also) invites to Ireland - they all made it.
Put my 81 cents postage on each envelope, came back to mail all of them and a different lady - at the same window at the same post office - says 'oh these aren't 81 cents, they're $1.05'... so I stood there adding a third stamp on to all of them, 105 of them, there in the post office.
I tend to think the first lady may have been right, seeing as how they all got to Ireland based on that original postage, but I kind of had no choice. I say you go with the most expensive estimate because I would rather do that than have them all come back with 'insufficent' postage.

Re: SPINOFF TO POSTAGE POST !
i would go by what a person says at the post office.
mine were $1.05 becuase they were square... theres an additional fee cause they are square... i wouldnt go by weight, or the printer.

What shape is your envelope? I feel like they're going to tell me the same thing. Mine are long (tea length).
Why can nothing ever be easy?

To me that is a square, nothing irregular about it. It's weird how little things like postage end up being the biggest pain.

Re: SPINOFF TO POSTAGE POST !
I went to 3 different post offices with my invitations. (I was looking for pretty stamps) The first one told me .61, the second told me .84. I decided I would stamp them at the post office that I mailed them out at. That worked out because I ended up with one .44 stamp:) The pretty purple love one.
