spinoff to Preshy's QOTD

I am wondering - is the amount of time you dated before getting engaged proportionate to your ages?
For example- those who dated for many years b4 getting engaged- did you meet when you were young?
So give the age you met and the age you got engaged-

We were 25 when we met, 26 when we got engaged. Will be 28 when we get married. (we are the same age)

we met when i was 18 and he was 21 and I got engaged at 24 , we dated a long time, but we were young when we met

When we met, I was almost 24, he was 30; getting engaged, I was 25, he was 31 and on our wedding day, I was 26 and he was almost 32.

When we met - I was 29 and he was 30.
Proposed - I was a week shy of my 31st birthday, he was 32
Wedding day - I will be 31, will be 32 a month after, he will be 33

We met when I was 15, he was 17...I had a crush on him, he saw me as his friends little sister's friend...

We started dating when I was 26, he was 28....

I will be 29 when I get married, he will be 31

We started dating when I was 29 and he was 30. When we got engaged I was 30 and he was 31.

Leslie brought this up at the last GTG, saying how the older couples tend to court (yes, she actually used the word 'court') for a shorter period of time. Figuring biological clock ticking and all....

As for us, well, we're a lil bit of both. I'm 25 and he's 41. We dated for all of 4 months and 2 days before getting engaged. We'll be married before our 2 year dating anniversary.

Dating: 28 & 31
Married: 32 & 35

But we both always say that we knew we would one day get married about 6 months into the relationship, we just cliked

I was 16 when we met, FH was 19.
I was 21 when we got engaged, FH 24
I am 23 right now and FH is 26.
I will be 24 a week before our wedding and FH will be 27

Yes, for us the amount was proportionate to our age.

For example- those who dated for many years b4 getting engaged- did you meet when you were young?
We dated for many years because we met very, very young.

So give the age you met and the age you got engaged-
I was 16, he was 18 when we met. I was 21 and he was 22 (a month shy of 23) when we got engaged. I was 25 and he was 27 on our wedding day.
Altogether, we dated for almost 9 years by the time we got married. Our 10 year is coming up.

Dating when
I was 21 he was 22

Engaged when
I am 22 he is 23

Married when
I am 23 he is 24

Got engaged when I was 29, he was 26

Married, me 30, him 26

He asked me to marry him after 2 months and 4 days. I got the ring almost 4 months later. I would certainly say that the quick turn around time is relative to our ages, and knowing (at this point in life) exactly what we want, having already kissed a bunch of frogs.

started dating when i was 20 (turned 21 one month later) he was 31

engaged at 24

married at 25 (he will be 36 a few weeks before wedding and my bd is couple 2 months later)
