Did you guys get your FH's an engagement gift? Someone at work asked me what I'm getting FH, but i have never heard of that. She was telling me that other girls that we work with got their FH's $1500 watches and someone else bought her FH new golf clubs. That is something i definitly CAN NOT afford. But then, other girls said they didn't do anything.
What did you guys do?

nothing, but he just bought himself an xbox 360 and a huge flat screen tv. he said that i got a ring, so he needed something too!

OOOOO, FH just got one of those tv's too. It turns out that he bought it on the same day he decided he was going to propose on Saturday night. Maybe he was thinking the same thing

I made mine a mix CD of songs that mentioned getting married. You don't need to buy him anything - he gets YOU for the rest of his life, that's present enough!

I didn't end up getting him anything and I felt bad but he insisted that he didn't want anything and would rather put the money towards the wedding.

I definitely want to get him something, and I wasn't sure what, but he wants to get a car, so I figured I'd just give him whatever I could afford towards the car. I haven't given him any money yet, but hopefully I can get to the bank this weekend.

Nope. THe ring was also my christmas present. His Christmas present was a PSP, 2 games, a 4 cookbooks that Christmas.

Yeah i didnt get him a gift either so for his next birthday i got him a really big gift ( three nights at Mohegan Sun with yours truly! ) to make up for it - i had never heard of it before and neither had he so i was in the clear!

i am getting him something (don't know when though) but when i want to and it will be a surprise....just like my ring was...when he wanted to and it was a surprise
