Re: Spinoff to the V.... Pin:
I work in a bar (non corporate) and would probably laugh if my boss told me to take off a shirt or pin because of what it said. Now, if I worked in a corporate restaurant/bar or environment it would not surprise me to have that happen.

I think its stupid, but I guess some customers may take offense to it.
makes you wonder what happened to the phrase, 'freedom of speech'

Re: Spinoff to the V.... Pin:
My company is politically active. So if I wore something that went against my jobs politics, I believe they would ask me to remove it. The thing is, it wouldn't bother me, b/c i don't see my job as an appropriate place to promote my beliefs.

IMO...I would NEVER wear that to work
But i guess it depends on where someone works
ETA...as a waitress...again it depends on where but IMO no i do not think it is appropriate either...

but also think that i had on a bunch of buttons. it wasnt big , it pop out or anything. no one ever even commented on it. i had all different pins on things. bands, etc... i would never force my beliefs on anyone. everyone had lots of buttons on. it was just there. and it wasnt a corp. place at all. in fact i got it for another waitress who wore it to work, but she quit and gave it to me!

I agree, but then I don't even put bumper stickers on my car. I am happy to discuss my beliefs with those who are interested, but feel no need to advertise them (for lack of a better word, no offense meant, lolita)

I don't find it inappropriate to wear a pin like that, not sure why some people do... If you are pushing your beliefs on someone, that is a differnet story. but just wearing it? Who cares?

I don't see anything wrong with it, but maybe they were concerned that it would offend customers who wear fur, etc..who knows???
