spinoff to the worst, what the best subway experince you have had???
mine was probably when an older gentleman on the train started to faint - we had been in the train tunnel for like and hour going nowhere 2 rain storms ago due to flooding, and i guess he got too hot...the train was packed but all of a sudden, people gave him a whole row of seats and everyone was breaking out water, juice and snacks to help him. in addition, we squeezed in closer to each other (it didn't possilbe at the time but somehow we did it!) and gave him more room to breathe and relax. he wound up being ok but it was kinda nice to see everyone who gets so mad about taking a long time to get to work, and were so hot, being truly good 'NY'ers' and helping! we worked together and it was so such a rewarding experience!!

When i lived in Queens and took the R to work, I remember seeing a young man and woman (strangers) start up a conversation. They were not American, some sort of unique nationalty, and they started to share things they had in common...they seemed to really like each other and were making plans to get together - i felt like i was witnessing 2 people fall in love! I always remember that.

my best experience was when i was on my way home on the C train up by Natural History museum and i had just gone on that infamous doggy shopping spree. at this time Tink had her weater on, her new shoes on and she was pink.... some guy who worked for a newspaper asked if he could take some pix, i said sure so he did and the next week we were on the cover!!!!!
