FH and I decided that is was too complicated and too much work to have an after party in the conference room of our hotel (they do not have a bar) So we are going to a local bar, we know the people and the owner. My question is should I wear my dress there or change into my gatting ready outfit (I have a hoodie that says Mrs. XXXXX est. 10-05-07) Or just a top and jeans, but leave the veil in? My sis says it is so white trash to wear the dress, I just thought it would be good fun. What do my LIW girls think?

I personally would wear a white sweatsuit with just married or BRIDE on the back and would wear my veil, but that's just me. I would never think someone was white trash if they wore their dress after the wedding to a bar-and I would definitely buy her a drink! I just don't think I would do it!! But you have to do what makes YOU happy- and F what everyone else thinks! It's YOUR night- live it up!!!
i remember going to Dublin Pub in my bridesmaid's dress after my friend's wedding years ago...the whole BP went, tuxes and all...bride & groom went home understandably..haha...if DH went to bars I would've walked down to Beach Bar & hung out!! Go for it...you will never get to do it again!
