If one set of parents are paying for the wedding....or if one set, you and FH are paying...


how are you guys doing the invitatation wording??

Mr. and Mrs. Bride's parents invite you .....
to the wedding of their daugther
Me
to
FH
Saturday....
no mention of Fh's parents.
You can do either way, but mine are technically hosting so that is who I'm putting on the invite.

thats how i did it, i think FHs mom is going to be pissed when she sees it, but she isnt contributing a dime, so i didnt bother to put her name

Both our families are helping us to many people involved.

I put our names and their families.

my parents and me and FH are paying for the wedding so our invites say:

Mr & Mrs. Paul _______________
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Lee Anne
to Kevin Patrick
son of Mr. & Mrs. Alfred ________________

on Saturday blah blah blah

My parents are paying for almost all the wedding. Our wording is going like this:

mr. and mrs. john and graciela hall
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
allegra cristina
to
michael frank
son of mr. and mrs. mike and paula ciampi
friday the 5th of june 2009
the royalton at roslyn country club
7:30 pm

black tie optional

Ok so I now feel like a bi***, b/c I'm not putting Fh's parents names on the invite. I really didn't think of it. They are hosting the rd so their names go on that, my parents are hosting the wedding so their names go on that.
Am I way wrong?

I know FH's mom would have liked to contribute but his dad, not at all. I still used their names but didn't imply that there was financial input on their end.

FH's parents are giving us money towards the wedding, my parents paying for our Honeymoon to Hawaii. Plus my mom is paying for my dress and everything. So the best way to put it on the invitation...

'Together with their parents'

is how we have it worded.
