SPINOFF (wedding budget) Do you include HM in Wedding budget?
FH and I was talking and he starts freaking out b/c our budget is blown by like $2-3,000. So I am trying to explain to him that we aren't including the HM in our 'wedding budget'.
Like, if you are spending $20,000 on a wedding and your HM is $7000, do you say you are spending $27,000 on your wedding? I separate it our Wedding and then HM.
I know the HM is affiliated with the Wedding, but I don't consider it a wedding expense like RH, flowers, Photo, etc. IDK
What do you think?
I guess it really doesn't matter b/c either way you look at it- you are spending $27,000, or whatever...wow, I need ...lol

We've included our honeymoon in the wedding budget ever since the begining. I mean, like you said, either way youre gonna be spending that money and its affiliated with the wedding.

our honeymoon isnt included in our wedding budget b/c i'm using totally seperate funds to pay for the HM.

It's included in our budget...we'll be sleeping on park benches in Europe, but hey it will be adventurous

We are not including the honeymoon in our budget. We're going to take most of the gifts we get at the wedding and put it towards the hm and then save for 6 months beforfe we go on our honeymoon to Europe!!
Right after the wedding - we're not doing anything until Groundhog's Day. We're spending that weekend in Punxtawney - to do the whole shebang!! YAY!!!!!

We are including it - however.....our 2 weeks in hawaii is our major splurge, so it makes up about 25% of our total wedding budget. I also include my engagement ring in our budget. Together, the HM and E ring are almost 50% of the total we are spending.

Our honeymoon is included in our wedding budget. That way we know exactly what needs to be saved to cover EVERYTHING!

we're doing a honeymoon registry-- so hopefully some of our guests will help us pay for the HM....so its not really inc. in my budget

Us too, since my parents are helping with the wedding and we're paying for a few things here and there, i don't include it.
Since i think you had said you're paying for it, I would include it in the budget.

yeah i included it in the budget---simply because its something that has to be paid off before the wedding, so that's why i include it.
